High-fired Cone10-11 ceramic stoneware pottery bottle vase. High-fired to 2350 degrees in a homemade kiln in a gas reduction-type atmosphere. Glossy, handmade layers of flowing glazes. Clean finish. High-end individually made pieces masterfully thrown on a pottery wheel. Artist signature is represented as a traditional potter's "chop" (hand-carved stamped frog).
Bumps made by using an old wooden tablespoon held against the outside of a vessel as index finger is pressed from the inside outward. This creates a consistent round bump to the exterior of the vessel. Glazes behave interesting as they find the path of least resistance around these bumps.
Perfect flower vase. Durable.
Approximately 7” diameter by 14” tall.
